The programme links popular Latin American music to European classical music in a unique way, presenting a repertoire full of exotic rhythms and original musical forms. Apart from Oscher's own suite of four Venezuelan pieces, there is the Suite María de Buenos Aires, from Piazzolla's opera of the same name, a suite of Cuban dances and Aldemaro Romero's virtuoso Fuga con Pajarillo, a hommage to both J.S. Bach and Venezuelan folk music. This album is the Bolívar Soloists' first for Costa Records.
